Beautiful Southern California

There’s nothing more relaxing than a day at the beach. That darn starfish, however, just doesn’t seem to make any sense. I mean it looks smooth on the outside, but it tastes really gritty when I stick it in my mouth. Oh well, it’s worth it.

Learning How to Hula!

Okay, so maybe she’s having a little trouble with the hips, but we can already tell she’s got lots of rhythm ;o). Seriously though, as of late the biggest news is that she’s standing on her own. It’s really fun to watch. And, just like her mom, Ava does everything she can to squeeze in some time at the beach.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny brought Ava all kinds of baby-proof surprises - sippy cups, baby carrots, empty eggs, and a big stuffed bunny. But, Ava found her favorite Easter surprise in her daddy’s basket: mouth-sized candies that mom had to fish out and hide away.

Ava's Best Friend

This is Madeleine. She and Ava have been friends from the start. Madeleine teaches Ava how to do lots of cool things, like give hugs. Most recently, Madeleine has been Ava’s driving instructor.

Solids Here we Come

Come on, now! It wouldn't be a fun picture if it wasn't a little messy! Lately, some of Ava's favorite food includes ice cream, pizza (pepperoni) and BBQ wings. Okay, we're completely joking. It's all about rice cereal, peas and carrot soup.

Grandma C. in Da House

Grandma Christensen and the gang came in to town for Ava’s baby blessing. Hopefully they will come visit again!

Ryan & Shelley's Wedding

What a handsome couple and what a pleasure to see everyone at the temple.

New Year's Eve

Ava got a little out of control in Vegas.

Visiting the Fam

Christina and Ava flew cross-country to go visit their favorite nephew, Evan, and brand-new niece Skylar. Ava enjoyed following her older cousin around and trying to pull and poke at Skylar. Christina tried to hold down the fort and give Shelley some R&R. But, as you might imagine, having three kids under the age of 2 ½ was more work than either of them were expecting.

What a Climber!

Like I said, Ava is quite a climber. Although she’s having fun, she has a really hard time finding a way down.

Snow!

We spent a fun weekend at the Cedar City cabin where Ava saw her first bit of snow.

Our Beautiful Girl!

For starters, here's a few picks of our favorite girl.

Believe it or not but she's crawling all over the place and climbing everything she can get her hands on.
