A Scare
Have you ever been attacked by a tree? Well, we have! Or, more accurately, our house has. On Tuesday night I was minding my own business talking to Bekah on the phone when bang and crash! Our house shook-was it a bomb, a rock? No, it was so windy, that a branch the size of a full grown tree had broken off the tree in our backyard and blew into our house, breaking our sun room window and destroying our barbecue. It had hit the roofline, breaking it in half and smashing our gutter, so half the tree was on our roof with branches pushed up against Ezra's window (which thankfully withstood the blow) and half leaning against our house and through our window. We have a great landlord who came over the next day, sawed up and removed the tree and has ordered a new window for us. We're glad it's the sunroom window so we can close the sliding glass door and keep all the cold air outside!
Yes, that branch has pierced our window.

Well, even though it totally stinks to be attacked by a tree, I am very happy that it didn't actually break through your house. Trees break in that way fairly often in Texas - is it by any chance a Bradford Pear? They're the ones always breaking here.
yikes! that's some drama i bet you wish you hadn't had to deal with. amen, to amanda's comment. good thing it was just the sunroom.
That's totally crazy!
